Terms
Last updated 10 October 2026
These terms apply when you book an errand with Runnr or work as a Runnr runner. By using Runnr, you agree to them.
For customers
- What we do: Runnr connects you with an independent, self-employed runner who collects, buys or drops off items for you within County Dublin.
- Prices: the app shows the full price before you book. Errands are priced by speed (within 6 hours, 2 hours or 60 minutes), plus €2 per km over 10 km, a €10 night charge between midnight and 7am, a €1 fuel charge and a €1.50 service fee. Groceries and pharmacy orders have a delivery fee by distance (from €2.99), a service fee of 10% of the shopping (€0.99 to €2.99) and an optional €2 priority fee.
- Runner vehicle: you can choose any runner, an e-bike, a scooter or a car. E-bikes cost nothing extra; a scooter adds €1.49 and a car adds €3.99 for fuel, paid in full to the runner.
- Groceries and pharmacy: you can spend €20 to €200 per order, up to 15 kg. We don't buy tobacco, alcohol or vapes, and we don't deliver prescription medicine.
- Payment: we place a hold on your card when you book and only charge it once your errand is delivered. For shopping, we charge the actual receipt amount, never more than the limit you set.
- Cancelling: free until a runner accepts. After that there's a €5 fee, paid to the runner. Once the item is picked up, the errand can't be cancelled in the app.
- What we won't carry: anything illegal or dangerous, tobacco, alcohol, vapes, prescription medicine, cash or valuables over €300, or live animals.
- Tips: optional, and 100% goes to your runner.
- Problems: contact us within 48 hours at 089 654 8439 or runrrforyou@gmail.com and we'll put it right. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
For runners
- Self-employed: runners are independent contractors, not employees. You choose when to go online and which jobs to accept. There are no shifts and no minimum hours.
- Pay: 80% of each fare, plus 100% of distance, night, fuel and scooter or car charges, cancellation fees and tips. Shopping paid on your Runnr card is paid by Runnr; shopping you pay for yourself is paid back in full. Stripe pays you weekly, on Mondays.
- Your responsibilities: you must have the right to work in Ireland, a valid licence and business-use insurance for any motor vehicle, and you're responsible for your own tax returns.
- Proof of delivery: take a clear photo at drop-off. Don't photograph people.
- We may suspend runners for safety concerns, fraud or repeated complaints.
Runnr card (for runners)
- What it's for: the Runnr card is a company card issued by Runnr through Stripe. It may only be used to buy customers' shopping on Runnr jobs you have accepted.
- How it works: the card only works while you have a shopping job in progress, up to that customer's spending limit. It can't be used for cash, gambling, alcohol shops, tobacconists or pubs. What you spend is recorded as the receipt for that job.
- It stays Runnr's: the money on the card belongs to Runnr, not to you, and it isn't part of your earnings. Every payment is visible to Runnr.
- Lost or stolen: call us straight away and we'll freeze it. Misuse may lead to your account being suspended and the amount being recovered.
- We can freeze or cancel the card at any time, and we cancel it when you delete your runner account.
General
- Our liability for lost or damaged items is limited to €300 per errand unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Irish law applies to these terms.
